Here I am “fighting” my way to happiness! I came across a short “documentary” from 1997 (21 years ago!) made for Fuji TV in the days where my living room had no furniture, only grappling mats and a Wing Chun dummy.
In the late 90’s I trained in Jeet Kun Do, Wing Chun, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Kali (stick fighting), knife fighting, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In the clip: Egan Inoue, James Tanaka, and Teddy Limos (Some shots were taken at the original Grappling Unlimited by Egan Inoue – Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym).
Now my training has shifted to the inner realm. Daily I train my mind to find the positives in all the challenging situations that life brings. What I used to do physically, I now do mentally and emotionally. No matter what you do, with the right mindset, the more you practice the better you get. Everything in my life has led me to where I am today. I’m grateful to Egan for initiating me on this path and inspiring me, and to all my teachers since.
