When a relationship, job, or situation ends, we can tell how much it meant to us by the pain we experience and the void we feel. The greater the void, the greater the value it brought to our lives. The less we appreciated it then, the more regret we feel now.
Don’t wait for something to end to appreciate its value. While there may be parts of it that you don’t like, it’s still wise to take a moment to look at the people and situations in your life, and appreciate the value they DO bring. Loss and regret can many times be prevented with awareness. Appreciate what you have, so it doesn’t turn into what you had.
