February Reflections:

Receiving the Happiness U scholarship at this time in my life was such a surprise and blessing. I’ve always seen the classes and thought about how I’d like to attend but never had the motivation to do so. Going through some life transitions I felt this was the perfect opportunity for me to explore what Happiness U had to offer and surround myself with those who may be on a similar journey. My month started out slow, trying to navigate social media obstacles and in-person social expectations.  However while it took me most of February to get my mindset settled into what I’ve committed to, I could not be more excited for what is to come. I attended Alice’s Astrological Forecast for 2019 and it’s good to know that we are all on the right path and that taking risks is necessary for growth. I also attended Living Intentionally,  which was such an inspiring talk on how to live and a good reminder of our responsibility to ourselves to be our best not only for you but for those you care about. February has gotten me to step out of my comfort zone, and I’m looking forward to what the next month brings.

March Reflections:

March started off exciting; attending the book launch for Master Your Superpower was a great experience.  The room was full of such positive energy.  I hadn’t taken the “Discover Your Inner Superhero” personality test before the event and I’m not sure if I was or wasn’t surprised to find out that I picked the right “SUPERHERO” personality, Selene.  I guess a little validation did feel good to know that I do have some self-awareness.  It was interesting to learn about the different personality types and how they manifest themselves. And to see that in person at the book launch was such a fun experience. March was a challenging month but I was able to catch Overcome Overwhelm, Getting Unstuck, Body Language of Confidence Deceit and Success, All About Love and Happiness and The Best Calendar Organization System Ever. Overall, these were perfect for the month and just for life in general. I got some serious take-aways from all of these sessions that were relevant for the present and that will be helpful going forward. As I’ve been busy self-reflecting and trying to really move forward on a lot of things in life, Getting Unstuck and Overcoming Overwhelm had some really great and insightful tips to help get myself get in the right mindset for success. Some of them would call for some extra thought, but some were simple like creating a “stop doing” list.  We always think of the things we need “to do” in order to get where we want to go, but never stop to think of what we need to stop doing. Also, just taking the time to recognize the simple fact that the feeling of overwhelm comes when you are not inspired. And to also recognize that time is not the enemy; which is where the Calendar Organization System comes in. I think that with all that everyone has going on, anything that you can take away and put into action or sit back and self-reflect on where you’ve been, how far you’ve come, or where you are headed – this past month’s classes have been a big help for me in my journey through all of those phases. I am thankful for the challenges of March and look forward to April.
