While it may be tempting to excessively express the negativity of a situation (because honestly, sometimes it just feels so good to blame, feel sorry for yourself, and rant and rave), be careful not to get caught in a dark place that you can’t find your way out of.

The key is this. Once you vent enough to feel heard and understood, immediately switch modes. Consciously start focusing on what IS working in your life. Talk about and think about what is abundant, good, stable, calm, graceful, loving, productive, and supportive. Challenge yourself to be ever-mindful of your thoughts, your words, and your actions.
