LexiDies

This past week I had the opportunity to put my positive mindset training to use in my own life.  As I was driving to an appointment, my car suddenly started smoking, and at a random stoplight, while I was waiting for the light to change, it sputtered, coughed and died.  The good news is that it died right in front of the Lexus dealer! How could it get any better than that! So although I was “bummed” about my car dying, the process of getting it serviced was seamless. All I had to do was put on my hazards, run to the service department and ask for help.

Without hesitation, four amazing guys dropped what they were doing and literally ran to help me push my car. I felt blessed that the car didn’t die in another part of town, which would have meant me getting towed and losing a lot of time.  I was appreciative that it not only happened at the right place, but also at the right time, because I had appointments that could be easily changed. The other great thing is that I happen to live close enough so I could walk home in less than five minutes. So I had the opportunity to be productive in a different way that I had anticipated I would be.

So…remember, the next time something happens to you that is “outside” of your control, see how this unexpected change is benefiting you, and see how you are in a good position, rather than in a poor position. See how you are “lucky” rather than “unlucky.” Remember…nothing happens TO you, everything happens FOR you. Have a great week everyone!
