Know who you are, and what you need. Introverts need to be alone to recharge. Extroverts recharge by being with people. If you are an introvert and had a lot of “people” action this week, let something go on your schedule this weekend. Stay in. If you are an extrovert and had minimal social interaction, then plan something social. Ambiverts need both, so find your balance.
Know your needs, grow your energy and improve your mood by doing what you need to do. Stop saying things like “I should go out more” or “I should stay home more.” Embrace yourself. Take care of your needs. Also, don’t expect your partner, spouse, or kids to be like you. Respect them for who they are. Let go of judgments just because they don’t want to do the same things as you. Knowing yourself is one key to happiness.
